Feel free to give us a call at (207) 594-2807 during business hours.
Do I need an appointment to get tattooed?
We do our best to accommodate everyone who wants a tattoo so walk-in's are always welcome, but for larger tattoos an appointment is preferred. An appointment will provide the artist with enough time to design the best possible product for you and will usually give you an opportunity to interact with them.
Can you give me a quote over the phone?
We don't like doing this because it's very difficult to accurately assess the size, details, etc. when we don't have a reference for size or design in front of us. It is best for you to come down to the shop and talk to us in person.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Many factors go into pricing a tattoo. We go off of size, placement, detail, and whether it's b&g or in color. Smaller pieces usually go off of our hourly rate of $140/hour for Seth and $120/hour for Chris & Ryan. Larger pieces will most likely be determined by hourly rate but are really up to the discretion of the artist.
What age do you have to be to get a tattoo?
By law, you have to be 18 in the state of Maine with a valid I.D. to get a tattoo. Valid forms of I.D. are a state issued license/I.D. or a passport.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Short answer, yes. You are getting pigment inserted into your skin with needles after all. But some areas will hurt more than others. It is also completely independent to every person's pain tolerance.
